Capt
Scrolling screenshots, stitched into one tall image.
Capt finds your latest run of screenshots by itself, so when you open it the stitch is usually already done. For iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Vision Pro.
In TestFlight beta. There is no App Store date yet.
How a stitch is made
Three screenshots of one chat, taken while scrolling.
These screenshots are drawn by the page. Nobody’s real screenshots appear on this site.
What it does
- It finds the screenshots. Capt looks in the Screenshots album in Photos and in an iCloud Drive folder you choose. Screenshots taken close together are treated as one scroll and stitched as soon as you open the app. When there is no run, it opens your most recent screenshot instead.
- It does not guess. When Capt can’t line two screenshots up with confidence, it puts them one under the other with nothing removed and says so. A visible join can be fixed. Rows that were cut out by mistake can’t be seen, so Capt doesn’t cut them.
- Every join can be fixed by hand. Drag a join, adjust the status bar and tab bar it trimmed, or put the screenshots in a different order. Each fix changes the same stitch the app made, and nothing is redone from scratch.
- It offers to cover sensitive details. Capt finds card numbers, IBANs, email addresses, phone numbers and long account numbers, and outlines them for you. Nothing is covered until you press the button. Covers are solid bars or coarse pixels, never blur, and they are removed from the exported image, not just hidden.
- It can tidy the library. Capt can copy screenshots out of Photos into a folder. Deleting is always a separate step, a copy is checked before an original goes, and favourites are never touched.
- The stitching happens on your device. Your screenshots are not uploaded to be stitched or read. See Privacy.
